Army Ranger Training The Path To Elite Status

Army Ranger Training: The Path to Elite Status

From Basic Combat to Advanced Individual Training

All Army Ranger candidates embark on a rigorous journey that begins with nine weeks of Basic Combat Training (BCT). This foundational training is essential for laying the groundwork of combat skills and discipline. For those who have opted for the Option 40x enlistment contract, BCT is followed by Advanced Individual Training (AIT), which further hones specialized skills.

Becoming a Part of the Ranger Regiment

After completing BCT and AIT, Soldiers who aspire to join the elite Ranger Regiment must complete Ranger School, one of the most demanding training courses in the Army. This 62-day course tests Soldiers' physical endurance, mental fortitude, and tactical leadership abilities.

The Role of Army Rangers

Army Rangers are highly skilled and specialized soldiers who lead missions that require expertise and precision. Their training prepares them to operate in complex and dangerous environments, making them an invaluable asset in the defense of their nation.
