MSI 2024: All You Need to Know

What is MSI?

The Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) is an annual international League of Legends tournament held by Riot Games. It features the top teams from each of the 12 regional leagues around the world.

When and Where is MSI 2024?

MSI 2024 will be held in Chengdu, China, at the Wuliangye Chengdu Performing Arts Center. The event will run from May 1st to 19th, 2024.

New Rule for 2024

A new rule for MSI 2024 is that the Bracket Stage will be played over two separate weekends. The first weekend will be from May 7th to 12th, and the second weekend will be from May 14th to 19th.

Bracket Stage Schedule

• May 7th - 12th: Quarterfinals and semifinals
• May 14th - 19th: Finals

Format

The MSI 2024 will feature a Play-In Stage and a Bracket Stage.

• Play-In Stage: The Play-In Stage will feature the top two teams from each of the four minor regions (CBLOL, LJL, LLA, PCS). The teams will be divided into two groups of four, and the top two teams from each group will advance to the Bracket Stage.
• Bracket Stage: The Bracket Stage will feature the top six teams from the Play-In Stage, as well as the top two teams from each of the major regions (LCK, LPL, LEC, LCS). The teams will be seeded into a double-elimination bracket, and the winner of the tournament will be crowned the MSI 2024 champion.
