New Goalkeeper to Join Premier League Champions
Experienced German International to Provide Depth and Competition
Manchester City have signed goalkeeper Stefan Ortega Moreno on a three-year deal. The experienced German international will join the Premier League champions on a free transfer after his contract with Arminia Bielefeld expired.
Ortega Moreno is a highly-rated goalkeeper with over 250 appearances in the Bundesliga. He has also represented Germany at various youth levels and was part of the squad that won the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.
The 29-year-old is expected to provide competition for Ederson, who has been City's first-choice goalkeeper since joining the club in 2017. Ortega Moreno's experience and ability will give City manager Pep Guardiola another option in goal.
