Albania came from behind twice to earn a point against Croatia in a pulsating Euro 2020 Group A clash on Wednesday

The game was played at a furious pace from the off, with both sides creating chances in the opening minutes. Andrej Kramaric gave Croatia the lead in the 24th minute, but Albania hit back just two minutes later through Elseid Hysaj. Sokol Cikalleshi then put Albania ahead for the first time in the game in the 55th minute, but Kramaric struck again in the 66th minute to level the scores. Both sides pushed for a winner in the closing stages, but neither could find a breakthrough.

The result leaves Croatia in second place in Group A with four points, while Albania are third with one point. Croatia will face Scotland in their final group game on Tuesday, while Albania will take on the Czech Republic.

Albania coach Edoardo Reja was pleased with his team's performance.

"We played a great game," Reja said. "We created chances and we never gave up. We deserved to get a point from this game."

Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic was disappointed with the result, but he praised his team's fighting spirit.

"We didn't play our best game today, but we showed great character to come back from behind twice," Dalic said. "We still have a chance to qualify for the knockout stages, but we need to win our last game."
