Fatal Car Accident on the A9 near Wiedemar

Police are investigating a fatal car accident that occurred on the A9 near Wiedemar on Thursday evening.

One person was killed and several others were injured in the accident, which involved two cars and a truck.

The accident occurred at around 7:30 p.m. on the A9 between the Wiedemar and Großkugel junctions. According to police, a car traveling in the direction of Berlin collided with a truck. A second car then crashed into the wreckage.

The driver of the first car was killed in the accident. The driver and passenger of the second car were seriously injured and taken to hospital. The truck driver was also injured, but his injuries are not life-threatening.

The A9 was closed in both directions for several hours while police investigated the accident. Traffic was diverted via the B100 and B186 roads.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
